Duirinish is located 1.5 miles outside the idyllic village of Plockton and only 4 miles from the bridge over to the Isle of Skye. This is a great area for walking, fishing, boat trips, castles, coastlines and islands.

Public Transport
The Lodges are located between Plockton railway station (1.5 miles) and Duirinish railway station (1 mile). Both are located on the beautiful Kyle Line between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh. There are 3 or 4 trains a day, depending on the time of year. Timetables can be found on Scotrail website. Buses are few and far between – sorry! The nearest airport is at Inverness, 75 miles away. There is a local taxi service.
Shops
Plockton Village has a village shop which stocks all the food essentials. There is also a newsagents, a post office and a gallery.Kyle of Lochalsh has a Co-Op supermarket, a post office, a butchers, a chemists, a hardware store and a number of gift shops. Inverness – 75 miles away – has everything! Tesco and Asda do grocery deliveries into Kyle of Lochalsh. You can place your order on line and then collect it from their van in Kyle of Lochalsh.
